Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2 KJV
Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share their burdens, and so complete Christ’s law. If you think you are too good for that, you are badly deceived.

But we should help them where they live, right? Not continue to let them overwhelm us here. I think America already has more illegal immigrants than we can use - though they get more given to them than a lot of Americans.
Linda, I take note that the Bible doesn't say "offer them your home" or anything like that. It only says to help them bear their burdens. By the way, please note that this is Paul talking to the Church at Galatia, not to the general population nor the local government.
Yea! You're back home safely!!
Maybe instead of handing everyone a fish, we should help them learn to fish, so they can fish in their homeland instead of ours.
And remembering them in prayer so that they will be still, and listen to what Jesus would want them to do...which, I am pretty sure isn't to walk 3000 miles(!) to come into America illegally, but, instead to clean up their own backyards while we deal with our own.
Yes, we survived the harrowing ordeal that is modern air travel. :/
And I agree with everything you said. Thank you.
