Winter Weather, Part 3

AccuHunch predicted "Higher elevations may see up to 12 inches." They were right, for a change.

We had 7 inches of the white stuff when I left the house this morning at 0815. This afternoon at 1415, we had 11.5".

It's still snowing lightly, but unlikely to add any additional accumulation. A couple miles farther back in to the mountains, folks are reporting 13 to 14 inches.

Driving with the summer tires (in four-wheel-drive) was a little iffy this morning, but all is now well. Winter tires are installed, the driveway is freshly plowed, and I have the next three days off.

Life is good, y'all.

Yep, life is blessed for us, too!

We've got a cold front coming though tonight. It was 75* and beautiful today, but tomorrow is going to be 40* and raining, changing to snow, then back to "showers", hen more snow Tuesday night.

We're expected to get maybe an inch, and that will melt off the streets and sidewalks by noon.

Your weather sounds a bit closer to what we originally expected, but the bottom dropped out of our thermometer. It's in the 20s now, and will get into the mid-teens tonight. That, with the heavy snowfall, will keep our weather frigid for to time being.

Wow. We popped back up to the mid 70's today but should see mid-60s by the end of the week. Autumn may finally be here.

TB, I hope you enjoy the cooler fall weather. Barring a freak weather front, we won't see 60s again until sometime next June.

So the snow blower is working well? Glad to hear it!
Enjoy your time off and enjoy God's beauty. :-)
