Psalm 22:27-28: “All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. For the kingdom is the Lord's, and he ruleth among the nations.”

2018 Earthquake, Day +4
The picture below (found on the Book of Face) tells the whole story.
The northbound off-ramp from the Walter J. Hickel Highway onto International Airport Road.
It's still amazing that, with all the destruction, there were no deaths. Which is probably why such a big quake had dropped off our news by the next day.
Wow. That is amazing. I cannot think of a DOT for a state I have lived in that could have done anything like that so quickly. They would still be arguing RFPs and environmental impacts.
If you check the anchorage fish wrapper - I mean, the anchorage daily news, they've an article up right now showing some of the construction photos. Lots of fill dirt, and paving. I wouldn't be surprised if it's going to need some settling and fixing later, but looks like they got it fixed for now.
Lots of roads still closed, lots of lanes still closed, but they're moving as fast as they can. Thank G-d for utility and repair crews!
Wing, the crews are doing extremely well this time 'round. Apparently they learned a lesson from last spring's "Bridge-pocalypse", when an oversized load on an 18-wheeler took out a lane on the Artillery Road bridge in Eagle River, closing that overpass. The entire Valley commute was routed through E.R. on the Old Glenn, causing 4-hour commute cycles in morning & afternoon. The next day, they had constructed a gravel by-pass for traffic to go up the Artillery Road off-ramp, and back onto the roadway just south of the overpass.
Yes, the repair crews have done - and are doing - mighty works, and we owe them our thanks.

I don't see how that could be possible. Not in four days in the winter.
Perhaps the pictures were reversed, the before posted after the after?

Wow. Well, praise God indeed!
Well done! THey DID learn from the Japanese! Like actually get the work done and don't screw around!
Yes, Linda. :)
NFO, you would seem to be correct. The Japanese ... or maybe the U.S. military.
