This morning we were greeted by a 4.9 magnitude shake which happened at 5:21. At least I was in bed for this one, rather than climbing into the shower. And since the power stayed on (as it usually does; the big 'quake took out several substations) I wasn't in the position of lying on the bathroom floor amid the debris in the dark, afterward.

Makes you weary and wary, I imagine.
That's a good way to describe it, although I'd add "jittery".
Sheesh.
Good thing most shampoo bottles are plastic now!
My husband thinks I am nuts for keeping a flashlight on the counter in the bathroom. Was in the bathroom once when the power went out at night...couldn't see a blessed thing, so ever since, I have had one in there tucked in a corner.
Lovely picture in the header!!
You are all still in my prayers.
You said it, Ed.
Suz, the lids & caps all shattered, although the bottles remained intact. We have flashlights in the bathroom closet, but I couldn't open the accordion door because so many things fell off the shelf & blocked it. The nearest flashlight was some 15 feet away in the adjoining bedroom.
Thank you, Linda. That means a lot.
