Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behavior from their parents. Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant. He didn’t love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that.

It is funny Reverend - you keep posting, and all that immediately wells up in me is how the modern Church falls short - in this case it is the idea of Christ offering Himself as a sacrifice. Everyone loves that part; what almost no-one seems to think about is why - or what our part was in that.

TB, I understand your concern about the Church falling short of the mark, but that's between them and the Lord. We as individual members of the Body of Christ must first & foremost be concerned about our own compliance with His commands, and only then praying for everyone else. I hope you understand where I'm coming from when I say this.
