Just a quick update on the earthquake situation here in Alaska: the frequency of aftershocks has decreased to not much more than the normal background level.
We still get the occasional 3.5 to 4.4 bump, but only every two or three weeks. In other words, things are nearly back to normal.
So now we continue to wait for the State inspectors to come 'round and assess the physical damage to the house. (There are some 14,000 claims for them to evaluate; it takes awhile.)

That sounds like good news? Is the state inspector for insurance claim purposes?
No, TB. The inspector is to provide us with a grant from the State for repairs.
Rev- I 'hope' you get more than my ex got in CA after the Camp Fire burned her house down...
We hope so, too. The State grant can’t exceed 75% of the actual costs. That’s still a good start.
Oh, hopefully that is much better.
