Iditarod Day 7: Update #2

7:25 p.m. Update: 
Peter Kaiser has moved into first place after arriving in Kaltag at 4:48 p.m. Kaiser has yet to take an eight-hour mandatory rest along the Yukon.
Nic Petit of Girdwood holds his lead into the seventh day of the Iditarod.
According to the latest info on the Iditarod's website, Petit left the Eagle Island checkpoint at 2:53 a.m.
Following behind him, is the defending champion, Joar Leifseth Ulsom, who checked in at Eagle Island just at after 2 a.m. Currently in third, Bethel's Peter Kaiser checked into Eagle Island about 25 minutes behind Ulsom. Neither musher is listed as having left the checkpoint as of 9:45 this morning.

The current standings also indicate that no other team has completed the stretch from Grayling to Eagle Island. In 4th and 5th place respectively, Jessie Royer and Mitch Seavey checked out at Grayling just after 10 p.m. last night.
