Funny you should bring up Dall sheep. The "Outdoor Channel" had a program on hunting them, and now I know why people want hard-hitting "600 yd" rifles. You NEED one to take one of these magnificent creatures.
Very willy, and difficult to get close to.
We have Big Horn sheep down this way, and I've heard the same thing about them. We saw some going up to Pike's Peak on the little cog railway, and the guide mentioned the only reason they got so close was they didn't consider the little train to be a threat.
Correct on all points, jim. They are REALLY hard to get to.
And THAT is why I won't be trying to take one...LOL
