God's Word for Saturday, 4/20/19

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
1 Corinthians 15:3-7 KJV

The first thing I did was place before you what was placed so emphatically before me: that the Messiah died for our sins, exactly as Scripture tells it; that he was buried; that he was raised from death on the third day, again exactly as Scripture says; that he presented himself alive to Peter, then to his closest followers, and later to more than five hundred of his followers all at the same time, most of them still around (although a few have since died); that he then spent time with James and the rest of those he commissioned to represent him ...

Amazing. And He did it for us.

Yes, He did - in spite of everything He already knew we'd do. In spite of everything, He loves us. It's staggering ... and I'm so grateful.

He died for our sins. And rose again. We truly owe him for our salvation!

Indy, we do. We owe Him for every breath, and our very existence.
