God's Word for Saturday, 6/8/19

The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.
Habakkuk 3:19 KJV

Though the cherry trees don’t blossom and the strawberries don’t ripen, Though the apples are worm-eaten and the wheat fields stunted, Though the sheep pens are sheepless and the cattle barns empty, I’m singing joyful praise to God. I’m turning cartwheels of joy to my Savior God. Counting on God’s Rule to prevail, I take heart and gain strength. I run like a deer. I feel like I’m king of the mountain!

Habakkuk has always been one of my favorites, Reverend. Thank you.

I praised God today because I tripped over a tree root and took a bad fall. I haven't even looked at my knee yet; but some nice people helped me up, (thank you, Lord); gave me a chair to sit on and some water to drink while I collected the wits that were scattered all over (left my pride somewhere 😉). And I didn't have to go to a hospital.

I can walk on it; though after we see it hubby may make me go to the doctor. We'll see.
I just praise God, because it could have been much worse. 🙂

You're welcome, TB. Habakkuk doesn't get quoted very often, despite the wealth of material there.

Linda, many people confuse "in all things" with "because of all things", but you've got the right idea. Praising Him because He protected you from worse injury, because He put people around you who could care for you, is praising Him despite the circumstances, because He's worthy to be praised. And I'm glad you're okay. :)
