Hahahahaha! At first I was going to say, not this old person; but I'd probably still have to say that because I don't think I could balance on a see saw any more. :-)
Dad, bless him is due to turn 89 the end of this month. Every morning after breakfast he does his exercises...300 sit ups, 150 push ups, and some stretching before and after, then he goes for about a 2 mile walk. He had a small stroke about 3 years ago now, and the biggest effect of that stroke has been his balance is not what it once was...but he has been working on it, and this year he was able to walk the sand bars on the beach, and through the tidal pools with the aid of 2 trekking poles without giving his oldest daughter...the one that is the home care nurse and has a thing about folks falling down...me in other words...a heart attack every time we went out on the bars at low tide. My baby sister got him the trekking poles...I was heading to Walmart to buy a couple of beach canes, but she beat me to it. All I have to say is exercise does really work for young folks. And it really, truly, REALLY does work for older folks, even if you think you are too old for it to do any good. Dad started his regime at the age of 70 because his back was bothering him. He has never looked back since. And he pesters ALL of us kids, grandkids, family, friends to do the same as he has. Can't say he has many converts...but there is no denying that at almost 89, he has a definite 8 pack as he is walking around in his swim trunks. If eating right and exercising are ways to worship and keep the temple in good repair, then even though he can't to church as often as he used to go, he is still doing plenty of worshiping.
Suz - so what you're saying is that he makes the rest of us look bad (actually and figuratively). But yes, he puts most folk to shame with a routine like that. Excellent!

Good one.
Linda, it looks like fun, but I don’t think I could do it, either.
Thanks, Ed.
