Readers, please pray for rain for south-central Alaska, if you're the praying sort. We could sure use the moisture to break this drought, knock down the fires, and help clear the air. Some of us are having trouble breathing.

It's interesting: the Super El Nino that has given us 2 wet years happened in the Pacific. Your side of the farm. We grow mold while you wither in drought.

PH, the jet stream between here and the Lower 48 travels in an S-curve, and we're at the other end of the S. The only thing that changes from time to time is which end goes up vs. down.
