Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Don’t hit back; discover beauty in everyone. If you’ve got it in you, get along with everybody. Don’t insist on getting even; that’s not for you to do. “I’ll do the judging,” says God. “I’ll take care of it.”

Words to live by, but not easy!
Understood, WSF. I've had to be reminded of that, myself, earlier this week.
This election makes this verse hard to follow but good to remember.
Thank you, Reverend.
You're welcome, Linda. It's hard for us, but He never tells us to do anything that we can't do. And He gives us the strength to do what He asks of us. :)
I'm always reminded of Dom Deluise in "The Twelve Chairs" when you post one of these "reminders".
He played a Friar in the movie, and there's a scene where's he's standing on a cliff, and the camera pulls back while he's wailing "Oh, Lord.....You're so strict!"....
Sometimes this is all I have to cling to.
Drjim, that’s a funny scene. Not Biblically accurate, but funny.
TB, when the Lord winnows our choices down to one, it’s to teach us that He knows a LOT better than we do. Note: I never said it’s comfortable.
