We tried our luck at an "early voting" location yesterday afternoon. After standing in line for about an hour, they locked the outside doors.
A poll worker read an announcement that everyone in line would be allowed the chance to vote. But in the hour we were there, the line had advanced about 50 feet. We were near the end of a queue stretching well over 300 feet in length.
We exchanged significant looks and walked out.
So this morning, we got to the regular precinct at 6:30-ish, and sat in the car for awhile. Local temp: 0° F. At 0645, we tried the outer door, discovering that it was open and some folks were already inside.
We were numbers 10 and 11 in line, voted quickly, and were out the door at 0713.
Given the lines now being reported at polls around the greater Los Anchorage area, it's clear that we did well.
Please vote, and may the logic be ever in your favor.

We did vote. A somewhat longish line for our area; but I'm talking maybe 10 people when we got there. ๐ And they must have been the end of the alphabet because the way we do it out there, we are at the front of the alphabet and got to go ahead of most all of them. ๐
Ours are divided only into A-L and M-Z categories, but it still goes fairly quickly.
Thanks for exercising your right!
Reverend, where I live we have early voting. Voted last week. No lines, out within 10 minutes.
We have vote-by-mail here, but you can also hand deliver your ballot to a drop box at the courthouse, and the CSU campus.
We took our ballots in early last week.

Glad it went so well for you.
We could have, as well. Decided rather late in the process to do it the old fashioned way. ๐
2 hours waiting in line yesterday. I've never seen it like that.
PH, the last time I remember any significant lines were in 2012 when Sarah Palin was on the ticket vs. Obama et al. Wait times were about 20 minutes, then. Nothing compared to now, of course.
