I first heard Rush Limbaugh on the radio in 1989, during the Bush 41 v. Clinton campaign. As he so often did over the next decades, he expanded my thinking and gave voice to things I believed but hadn't articulated well.
There are many accolades and praises given across the many media today, along with the usual griping from the headache and heartburn crowd on the far Left. I need not say much.
But he made me laugh in tough times, and cheered us all on, in the process. He was thoughtful and thought-provoking, and a source of inspiration.
Rest in peace, Rush; you earned it.

I heard this on the radio about 12:30 this afternoon. I listened to his show here in NY in the early afternoon if I am able to grab some lunch, and while driving to the next patient's home.
I will miss him. Deep condolences to his wife and family. His wife was on the radio show just a few hours after he passed away...that's one tough lady.
Reverend, I remember listening to Rush back in the day when he first started his program regionally (prior to national syndication). It is seldom that a single individual singlehandedly revives, creates, and dominates a medium. I think it is not too great an exaggeration to say that talk radio got a second lease on life because of him. He will be missed.
He will be missed. And Toird is correct.
What has been said here. May God comfort all who knew him, and forgive those who are happy he has passed on.
