While Most of Y'all Are Enjoying Spring ...

we're having January.

Yesterday we had temps falling through the teens to subzero lows overnight. There were 30 mph winds, and we got four inches of fresh snow yesterday.

I'm reasonably certain we'll have some form of warmer weather, sometime this year.

The Year Without a Summer, anyone?

And we're having "Spring in the Rockies", where it can be 80* and sunny for two days, then three days of 35* and rain.

BRRRR! Chills you to the bone if you're out in it.....

We have moved directly from Spring into Summer. In about two weeks.

81 here today, hot and sunny... And I had to mow the @#$%# yard... sigh

Drjim, one thing that we love about Alaska is that it’s mostly free from temp swings as you described.

TB, we haven’t seen any spring weather yet.

NFO, y’all can keep that stuff down there.

What TB said. near 90 today. Thunderstorms and possibility of severe weather tonight.
Praise God for his blessings and protection.

A blessed weekend to you all, Reverend.

+1 drjim. We live about 25-30 miles apart. Forgot my coat this morning when I took the dog out. Mix of sunshine, high, cold wind and snowflakes. Brrr!

Over here in the Copper Basin the forecast is for -27 tonite with wind chills to -45. We have had about a week of days with highs above freezing in the last quarter and so far the highest has been 38. Two feet of snow in the woods. Hope spring gets here soon!

Personally speaking I am more than happy to wait another 9 months before having to deal with January again!!

Linda, I read reports this a.m. of the severe weather in your part of the country. I pray you're all okay.

WSF - I'm sure it's uncomfortably chilly. Coat & hat, my friend.

Howard, glad to hear from you. It's almost always colder in the Interior than here in the banana belt where the Inlet keeps us a bit warmer. Makes our -4 this morning seem ... well, not so bad at all. Stay warm.

Suz, actual January is a ways off. Simulated January is upon us.

We were blessed, Reverend. Just rain here, and not as bad as predicted.
I prayed for those south of us because that's where the worst of it went.
Our friends were okay also, so I give Him the praise and glory for that. :)

That’s an awesome testimony, Linda. And an awesome God!

Beautiful Spring here now. Resulting in the worst hayfever I've ever had. And we use incense a lot at church during the Easter season. Thought I was going to blow both eardrums and eyeballs out yesterday trying to suppress the throat spasms that caused.
