Because of the heavy, wet snow coming so early in the season, many trees and large branches took out power lines all over the place.
Our power went out yesterday at 04:38, and didn't come back on until after midnight.
It's a joy to have heat and light again (without running propane heaters) and camping lanterns, but thank God we have those things.
