This new action allows more of your tax dollars to fund abortion providers like Planned Parenthood and other clinics who provide referrals for abortion, through the "Title X" family planning program. Funding Abortions with your Tax Dollars This week, the Democrats are working to finalize their big spending bill which would allow your tax dollars to fund abortions, through leaving out the longstanding bipartisan Hyde amendment. What is the Hyde Amendment? Hyde is a longstanding, bipartisan amendment that prohibits federal funds from being used for abortions except in rare circumstances. For decades, Biden and Democrats supported this crucial amendment but now are leaving it out of nearly all of their legislation and executive actions. We must protect life and preserve the Hyde Amendment. Department of Justice Sued Texas Over Pro-Life Bill Last month, Biden’s DOJ recently sued Texas over the state’s recently passed Heartbeat Bill, which aims to protect unborn lives when a doctor detects a heartbeat. Yesterday, an Obama-appointed federal judge blocked enforcement of the pro-life bill. President Biden has vowed to do everything he could to dismantle the pro-life law after the Supreme Court’s decision not to block its implementation.   Repealed Pro-Life Mexico City Policy One of Biden’s first actions in January was reopening taxpayer dollars to fund abortions overseas by putting an end to the “Mexico City Policy.”   Removed the U.S. from the Pro-Life Geneva Consensus Declaration In January, Biden removed the U.S. from the Geneva Consensus Declaration, which was a global declaration signed by 34 countries promoting the protection of life.
