Just Watching It Snow

The local highway page on Facebook is full of warnings to stay off the roads. Multiple accidents, including at least one fatality. And one in which people trapped in unmoving jams for a long time attempted to use an on-ramp to get off the highway, hitting another head-on.

One guy even slammed into a responding Chugiak fire engine so hard that the fire engine may have to be scrapped. Wouldn't want to be him when the insurance company gets that bill.

But we haven't gone out today, and don't have any plans to do so. That forecast of "one inch or less" is just a footnote to a joke, now, as it has been snowing steadily since the wee hours this morning.
