Snowy Monday

Snow, at last. The quacks at AccuHunch were calling for the possibility of snow showers, beginning Sunday night. What they didn't predict (until it was on top of us) was actual snow, so now we have several inches of "showers". It's about time, though, and no one is complaining.

And what's on the ground now will be here until break-up. Sorry, that's "spring thaw" for you folks Outside.

Update: it was 25 degrees when I left for work. The skies have cleared since sunrise, and the temp has dropped to 15. Welcome to Alaska, pilgrim!

Aaahh, the "several inches of snow showers" meme. Of course, if it had been rain, it would have probably amounted to one or two tenths of an inch. So give the quacks a break, it's tough to be accurate when dealing with so little moisture.

Fifteen degrees!? Glad I won't be up that way until July! Might even be there for your day of summer.

As always, with the first snowfall, I hurried to dress this morning to go out and pla... um..er.. scoop the snow!

It most likely won't happen again until after next summer. It was great to see the clean landscape. No moose crossings, no tracks from planes, just a clean slate!

After frost on Sunday, we hit 78 degrees yesterday. I was out mowing the lawn.

The weather is pretty nice this time of year, but oh the summers are brutal.

Thanks, by the way, for translating "break-up" for us.
