December the Oneth

I hope this is short-lived: we're having our usual December warm-up, as it's 38 degrees and raining. Unfortunately, we had received 9" of snow a few days ago, and there's a nice sloppy mess developing out there.

Later today, the temp is supposed to fall, and the rain will change to snow - or so guesseth AccuHunch. What fun we shall have!

This morning's fun also includes an invoice I just received, for work that was ordered in October, but never performed. Apparently their bookkeeper is more efficient than the work crew.

Fortunately, I have receipts from the two other contractors involved in the now-completed project, so the "fun" is watching the first outfit swallow hard & try to backtrack from billing a job they didn't do.

The Liberty Republican is reporting:

Is the United State's President preparing for a civil uprising? According to the EUTimes' report posted November 28th, Russian Officials seem to be reporting an expected 'homeland troop build-up' of one million US deployed active military. The report indicates that Obama is expecting absolute civil unrest before the Spring.
Russian Military Analysts are reporting to Prime Minister Putin that US President Barack Obama has issued orders to his Northern Command’s (USNORTHCOM) top leader, US Air Force General Gene Renuart, to “begin immediately” increasing his military forces to 1 million troops by January 30, 2010, in what these reports warn is an expected outbreak of civil war within the United States before the end of winter.

Go on over & read it. Interesting times we're living in ...

Well, I hope for the sake of keeping things a bit neater than slop - that the temp drops.

Gotta love the um... brazen attempt to get money from you. They probably decided to bill you just in case you might pay.

As for the EU article. That one is a hoot. Considering there are over 1.4 million active duty military and about 850K reserves - I'm not quite sure where they are getting their numbers, but it does make a nicely scary story doesn't it.

Gotta love that the EU Times is going after Obama with the paranoia stories. That really is hilarious.

The EUTimes? Is that one of their tabloid weeklies? Certainly pulling numbers out of their *ss with this one.

And just which side would these troops fight on? The one upholding the Constitution which they will have sworn to defend? Or with Obama?

Interesting times indeed... It will be more interesting to see if there is any truth to the EUTimes story... As I said in my take on the article, full scale rebellion is unlikely, but as Joated pointed out, just who would the troops support if asked to confront American Citizens on the homefront?

I am sure it would be NOTHING like the 1942 internment of the Japanese, the Kent State massacre, or the disarming of citizens in post-Katrina LA. The problem is that people are just doing what they are told to do - that includes rounding up citizens, firing into crowds, and forceable confrontation in violation of the Constitution.

Ask your question again... and think hard about the answer!?! O_o
