Good morning! We're nearly 25 degrees below normal, at minus 13. Accu-Hunch guesses it will be minus 17 tonight in the warmer areas, with lows below minus 30 on the east side near the mountains. Thank God for block heaters on our autos!
Moving on: there's not a lot going on in the local news. The talking heads are mouthing their usual platitudes regarding cold weather ... encourage the homeless to seek shelter, update your survival kit in your vehicle, dress in layers, stay indoors, and so on.
Nationally, the liberal main-stream media (MSM) continues to tell the Hamas side of the story about the shelling. They will mention that the most recent cease-fire expired 11 days ago.
They won't tell you that Hamas violated the cease-fire before it expired, and has been launching rockets into Israel for nearly two weeks. But those "evil Israelis" have the audacity to fight back, and the "world rallies around Palestine."
I have a question: since Israel occupies 1% of the middle east, and the Palestinians continue to claim they have nowhere to settle (despite the fact that they have the Gaza Strip), why doesn't one of the huge, sparsely populated Arabic countries give them some space?
If you look at all the stories, a pattern emerges: it's not about the Palestinians, you'll see. It's about the other countries' insistence that Israel must go. You don't have to believe me; read for yourself. And I don't mean just CNN or the other networks. Check out independent news organizations, the BBC, and others.
There are usually two sides to every argument. It should make you wonder why the MSM is only telling one.

Global warming sure is rearing its ugly head this winter, huh? ;-)
We are getting another couple of inches right now. Though, our temps are no where near as bitter cold as yours.
I hope there are more people who see through the MSM's smokescreen than it appears. Luckily Israel has gone on the offensive, though, and opened their own YouTube channel with actual videos that show the truth.
We continue to experience "global warming" as the temps remain below zero for a few more days. I'm glad to see Israel telling its own story, as the MSM will not, unless forced to do so.
