Snowy Sunday

Good morning (or afternoon) blog world!

It has been snowing since around 8:30 last night, but didn't get serious about it until this morning. AccuHunch Weather was calling for a total accumulation of only 4" ... we have six eight nine inches already, and it's still coming down.

Now, six inches of snow is what we get when they say "a dusting of snow is expected." It's not even considered a "real" snowfall until at least 12 inches has fallen. But it's okay: it's still pretty, it's white and fluffy, and we like it.

Another shopping excursion is in store, this morning. I guess we'll take the truck; my wife's car does just fine in snow of this depth, but we don't know how much more will fall. It wouldn't be the first time we saw an additional five or six inches come down while we're in a store.

And come to think of it, it's about the time of year for one of those 24-inch snowstorms ... so yes, the truck is the vehicle of choice today. You never know!

Have a great day folks!

Enjoy your dusting!

We do, Lanny. It's the melting, the slush, the puddles-and-ponds of black water in the roadways and intersections, the standing black water in parking lots ...

Those things kinda take the joy out of break-up. But summer will come. Eventually.

At least, that's what we keep telling ourselves!

Wish we were there! It sunned here all day. The wind blew enough to make allergies act up considerably. Too much to take the pups to the dog park. Yes, I'd much rather snow, but am trying to be as cheerful as I can since I'm planted here for a while yet.
