"...to care for him who shall have borne the battle."

I don't often talk about this, but I have a service-connected disability, albeit a slight one, and am a Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans.

The current administration has decided to make veterans with service-connected injuries pay for their own care by virtue of private insurance.

Put aside, for the moment, that Mr. Obama would have to ask military men and women - who enlisted knowing that the Dept. of Veterans' Affairs would see to any service-related injuries - to respond to his orders without that safety net.

Rather, consider this: on every insurance policy I've had since leaving active duty, it specifically excludes coverage for injuries resulting from any act of war.

This beggars the imagination and goes beyond mere betrayal; indeed, it borders on absolute stupidity. You can read more about it here.

Everything that Obama said he was going to do - he is doing. I guess all those people who voted for him were not paying attention. It seemed to me that all they were concerned about was that he is black - not that he was NOT qualified to run the US. Don't even get me started!

What The One has done--or at least proposed-- during the first three months of his tenure boggles the mind. But this...this is simply stupid on so many, many levels.
