"merely an 'incident'" heh? They're two lucky guys to walk away from that one and the plane with so little damage.
I wonder why the pilot didn't just take off again as soon as he realized the "snow" was ice crusted and he wasn't slowing down. Is there a taller peak on the left of the chasm that would make that impossible? One year as a licensed pilot and he should know how to do touch and go landings/take offs.
