Friday Morning

Happy May Day! If you're not too tired from dancing around the May Pole, read on ...

It's 36 degrees this morning, on its way to another 60-degree afternoon. We've had warm temps and sunshine all week ... and we're starting to wonder when the rug will be pulled out from under us.

Anchorage residents know there's rarely a stretch of weather this warm, and this long, without some lousy weather coming down the proverbial pike to shake things up. And sho'nuff, we're to have low 50s and rain by sometime next week. But that's days away - so party now!

There's not much local news that would be of interest to you folks Outside, so I won't go into that. The national news is not any better, so ... no commentary from me. Other bloggers, in earlier time zones, have already covered it in more depth. My remarks would be superfluous.

Y'all have a great Friday & a better weekend - I know we will!

It's rained all week. I'd think I was in Seattle if it wasn't so darn flat. But the cold is over, and the crops are coming along.

Aside from the sunny weather, we wouldn't mind some green, growing things. Alas, there are none yet.

The rain helps hold down the dust & ash, which seem to be in permanent air suspension, these days. Please feel free to send a bit up here!

We have rain today, but it's still fairly warm. I thought the temps were supposed to drop. So far they're hanging in there.

I have no idea what the outlook is. I got tired of seeing a constant "WARNING" in red every time I looked at a weather gadget...

(yes, I know the wind is blowing, had no idea this meant I needed a weather warning... yes I know the sun is shining - this is now a bad thing??? *sigh*)

Have a great weekend yourself!
