Saturday, May the Twoth

This is the kind of "rut" I don't mind being in: bright, sunny, blue skies, and a light breeze. AccuHunch guesses we'll get to about 57 degrees today, and that's about normal temps for this time of year.

A little shower would help hold down the dust, and they also surmise we'll get some sprinkles over the next few days.

I've been out & about, doing some man shopping - ammo, gasoline, and other car supplies.

SURPRISE! Sportsman's Warehouse just got in a shipment of Winchester "white box" in .45 Auto, so I picked up three 50-round boxes. That set me back just under $84, but it's the first I've been able to find in nearly three months. At least I have a buffer now, for going to the range again.

Wally World just got in a supply of air filters, too. The truck filters I need were down to only two, so I picked up one; I have one spare already. I also picked up two for my wife's car; those are the first I've seen since November, when we bought the car. With all this ash in the atmosphere, filters don't last like they should. I do take them out on a weekly basis & knock the loose dust off, though; the truck filters are $21 apiece, so I'll make 'em last a bit longer. UPDATE: I tried, but the truck's filter was uniformly grey, with black bits embedded in the paper. Good thing I picked up a spare this morning!

I stopped at the gas station on the way home; regular is up to $2.47/gallon now (sigh). I get three cents off because we belong to their "club", but $2.44 isn't a bargain. $36 later, I drove away with the beast's belly full.

The sunshine is calling me to go back out & enjoy it. I believe I will. Have a great weekend, folks!
