Busy day. We spent the morning disassembling & removing old bedroom furniture, taking down tired artwork, and cleaning. We shampooed the bedroom carpet last night, and then vacuumed it again this morning to loosen any stiffened fibers.
Hung a new mirror above where the new dresser will reside, and carried the old bed frame, dresser, and miscellaneous flotsam down to the garage, awaiting the coming of the refuse hauler. Hung new artwork.
Went to the local big-box hardware store & bought a couple of bullnose strips for the steps down into the garage. Made a deliberate decision to get rid of most of our CFLs, as they've been a disappointment. Bought several 8-packs of good ol' American-made incandescent bulbs & began installing them in various fixtures. Wow, real light again!
Took oldest to her job, went back to the hardware store and bought more incandescent bulbs. I'd forgotten how nice that warm light is.
Now awaiting the arrival of the new bedroom furniture, discussing lunch & the snow they tell us is on the way.
