A Walk in the Park

It does get easier.

We went back to Taku Lake Park to continue our morning walks. Even with a brisk walk under our belts shoes, we still turned back before reaching any sort of "end" to the trail. There are times when the park is quite busy, but we only met a dozen or so others. That's always a nice bonus..

The sun was shining, and the sky was mostly clear. The air is still cool in the mornings (about 43 degrees when we started) and that makes it nice. Of course, the layer system is still a good idea - we wore t-shirts, short-sleeve shirts, and light vests. That was just about right for the brisk air; there wasn't as much of a breeze today, so we did work up a bit of sweat. Conditions during previous trips to that park have been windy enough to prevent perspiration.

We walked for quite a distance this morning, and agreed we will visit again. So we've had our cardio for the day, come back home, showered/shaved/coiffed, and are ready for whatever's next.

beautiful area. I got my cardio this morning pushing a lawn mower over an acre of grass. And I got to burn two tanks of gasoline while doing so! (Anything to get the temperature back up to normal!)
