Time to Get Away
As winter moves in, and the forecast calls for falling temps and "significant" amounts of snow, it's time for vacation. It has been two years since we left Alaska for a fun reason, so we're going to a sunnier, warmer clime for a bit over a week.

Have a good time. If the the ladies enjoy shopping, try Pearl City. While the beach front has loads of stores, the charge about twice as much. The flea market at the stadium is always a good time.
North Shore is best for sight seeing and main stream hikes.
I don't know if they still allow this but when I was a station there, they allowed U.S. citizens to get on base an could get a tour of a ship or submarine. Although you needed to be escorted by someone from the base.
