Not Much Going On

It's 16 w/ flurries ... strange that 16 feels so warm. All those subzero lows over the last couple of weeks have spoiled me. I'm running around in shirtsleeves today.

There's little to report this morning, but here I am reporting it, anyway.

Joe Miller has until tomorrow to decide whether to launch yet another appeal after losing in federal court. He can appeal the federal decision, or protest the election results in state court. I will say only that whatever good will he had among the voters a month ago is worn off by the interminable challenge and subsequent court losses.

And then there's this:
Anchorage was the ninth drunkest city in the U.S. in 2009, according to a first annual compilation by The Daily Beast, a news and commentary website that ranked 40 cities based on several different data sets.

Quite a claim to fame, eh?

And with a walk downtown.... or through the parks - that's hardly surprising.

I have to say, if I had to live in Anchorage, I'd become a drinker too!

I'd seriously consider living outside of Anchorage except that's where my job is.

Just found your blog today.

It's warming up here in the interior, too.

Have a happy New Year!
