This is, however, an admittedly minor annoyance in the grand scheme of things. To be fair, it did look very much like we were in line for a major snowstorm, yesterday afternoon. The radar showed us surrounded by snow on three sides, and the winds were blowing the front straight toward Anchorage. It's not really the weatherman's fault ... but he's a convenient fall guy. They have to know, when they opt for a career in meteorology, that they'll get the blame for inaccurate forecasts, as well as for any bad weather that comes through. Don't they?
The only item on our agenda today is my wife's company Christmas party, downtown. Otherwise, it will be a slow & sleepy morning. That's a good thing, as it leaves plenty of time for coffee. We have carols playing in the background, it's all white outside, and the sun will be up around 10.

A nice day for us; I hope you have one, too.

After wild speculation and guesses the Weather Guesstimators in MPLS/STP area were all over the place and about alal they couold agree on was "Snow" of various amounts.
When it was all over and done I had 11 plus inches at my place. No wind and 20 degrees.
Nice fluffy stuff that blew off nicely with the snowblower and my son and two friends found 4 driveways in the neighborhood to shovel.
