Does heredity play a role in one's outlook and philosophy? Or is it just upbringing and life experience? Some of both?
A little digging into my family tree reveals that my father's family is from the Green Mountains in Vermont. My mother's family settled long ago in and around Clinch Mountain, Tennessee.
Green Mountain Boys on one side and Clinch Mountain boys on the other? No WONDER I'm so stubborn!

Hmmmm....My Mother's side is Irish, and my Father's side is Polish.
Is that why potatoes were almost a religion in our house?

You certainly have an excuse for almost anything. lol
Mother was Scots/Irish while Dad was Dutch. Both were second generation American. Stubborn? Oh yeah.
