Psalm 22:27-28: “All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. For the kingdom is the Lord's, and he ruleth among the nations.”
I believe that the natural tendency of our Constitutional Republic is to gravitate toward two major parties. However, let's not forget that the Republican Party was once a third party. When the Whigs self-destructed in the 1850s (as both major parties appear to be doing today), the Republican Party rose to prominence. Even earlier, those of the "Federalist" persuasion during the first two administrations fell to pieces and our nation enjoyed a 30-year golden age under the domination of Jefferson's Democratic-Republicans. It has happened before; it can happen again.
There's a very serious chance we could end up with one. A while back before the 2010 elections I wrote a post about how there won't be a "round three" for the Republicans. They threw it away in '96. If they do that again, we'll be throwing them away. I suspect many of them and quite a few Democrats would flee rather quickly to a newly formed TEA Party if the winds were right.
