Entertaining Crimes

More excerpts from the Unalaska Police Blotter:

Assault – Two men new to the community were welcomed with thumps and slaps to the head by an angry woman wandering drunkenly from bar to bar.  Officers who were called to the scene were kicked and spat upon by the woman while she unleashed a stream of vituperative comments.  Savannah Kochuten, 35 yoa, of Unalaska, was charged with two counts of Assault IV and two counts of Harassment I.

Welfare Check – Two 911 calls from a giggling caller were placed from a payphone at the airport.  An officer found no signs of emergency when he patrolled the airport a short time later.

Trespass – Homeowner asked that officers issue a trespass advisement to a non-paying house guest who had worn out her welcome by calling the owners nasty, inappropriate names.  The guest left without incident.

Trespass – Officer advised a homeless and unemployed man that he was not allowed to stay in the airport overnight.

Trespass - Officer advised a different homeless and unemployed man that he was not allowed to stay in the Intersea Mall overnight.

Suspicious Person/Activity – Officer found three teens asleep in a vehicle on Strawberry Hill.  The teens were celebrating a birthday and there was no indication that they were engaged in any illicit activity.

Never a dull moment in Unalaska!
