Today, Media Center is just ... gone. It's no longer at the top of my Start menu, where it was pinned. I was able to find an individual command for the Mah Jong game, but not for the rest.
The only default setting I changed was to allow the quick-launch button in Yahoo Messenger to launch Firefox, instead of Windows Live Mail.
Help?
Update: never mind. I found the correct setting under "default programs" on the control panel. It had been turned off, for whatever reason. Prob'ly because I was mucking about in the first place.
