Good morning. It's 7 below at my place, and there are several spots around Anchorage even colder. But that's nothing compared to the rest of the state: yesterday morning it was -49 in North Pole, and -41 at the Fairbanks airport. That's cold, right there; I don't care who y'are.
I see in the local news that out-of-state enviro-nazis and some Alaska native groups have filed yet another round of lawsuits to stop oil & gas exploration in the Chukchi Sea (northwest Alaska coast). These same groups will cry bloody murder when the gas prices go above $10 a gallon in that area; apparently they live in some universe where cause and effect don't apply.

With all your recent weather updates (yikes!) I flashed on George Carlin's "The temperature is 38 degrees at the airport, which is stupid, 'cause nobody lives at the airport!"
Keep you and yours warm and your powder dry - gfa
