today, with all the things mentioned in my previous post. I picked up a new fluorescent light fixture for the garage, some new extension cords for the block heaters on the cars, gloves, a new parka for Mrs. Paul, and some ice cleats for daughter Samantha, who's been complaining that she didn't have any.
The temperature reached all the way up to 4.7 degrees this afternoon, with lots of sunshine. The glare was impressive, too.
The gas prices here remain high and don't fluctuate more than a couple of cents one way or t'other. The going price around town is $3.92, plus or minor a few pennies. The grocery store near our home offers discounts which increase with continued purchases. The more you spend, the greater the discount. With Thanksgiving week concluding, the grocery purchases have been rather ... um, robust. So I got a 70 cent per gallon discount this morning for my truck, and believe me, I'm thankful for $3.22 per gallon. Nice.
Younger daughter and the girl next door are hanging out at the mall this afternoon, having first watched "Breaking Dawn" (shudders). To each their own. Frankly, I agree with Larry Correia who opined, "Real vampires only sparkle when they're on fire." But they didn't ask me.
Enough of this. Have a great evening/night, folks.

Surprised gasoline isn't higher. You are only $.25 more than front range Colorado and about the same as the mountain towns.
Bwahahahahaha! I live with a Twilight hater and hear endless reasons why vampires don't sparkle. She will be delighted to know that there are others of that persuasion.
