at 7:30 this morning, with a forecast of sun & 12 degrees for the day. It got up to 14 yesterday, which is the warmest we've been in over two weeks IIRC. The sun shone for nearly four hours, in between the morning and evening snows.
Plans for the day, you ask? A minor shopping trip to Alaska Industrial Hardware - they've got the best stuff available. I'm looking for some insulated mechanic's gloves (nothing burns so icy-cold as grabbing a socket wrench at -18, and my current gloves are shot), new winter gloves, and then just wander the aisles and lust over the selection. It's a guy (and some gals) thing.
But now the temp has dropped to -2 and it's time for breakfast, so all y'all have a great day.

Enjoy, if you can, I just got back from the golf course :-)
Oooh, AIH! I miss the one in Midtown - best place ever, from Carharrts to replacing the broken drill bits needed to recomplete the set, to rebreathers and cargo straps to welding gloves. If they don't have it, they know who does.
Have fun, and hope your wallet doesn't have too much of a slimdown while you're there!
Seems to me a good seal skin jock strap is in order too...
I'm looking for sheared seal skin slippers for sweet wife for Christmas.
