Well ... not exactly. We've been having a series of chinook winds - and by "winds", I mean hurricane-force gusts above 100 mph - and warm spells which have been melting a lot of the snow. The ice deposits from the daytime melting & nighttime freezes are epic.
I found out how epic this morning, when my head was bouncing down the driveway on the black ice. I fell twice, full length. The first time I landed on the back of my head - hard - which had me seeing stars, and that probably explains the second fall.
I couldn't get my feet under me, either, and had to crawl back up the hill to get cleats, and came back out with kitty litter which I spread on the snow-and-ice in the drive. I was half-way to work before realizing I'd forgotten the cleats.
I must be getting too old for this stuff, hobbling around today like a little old man. Dang it.

I mean, ouch...easy, my friend, easy.
You might have to wear a helmet the next time there is ice. I busted my butt just the other day, because of the ice. But I did it on a flat surface. OUCH!!
Be careful.
I hope you are ok. Like Stephen says, easy my friend.
Owww! Oh dear. :(
I hope you're all better now. :)
Ow! That whole freeze thaw thing does change surfaces into a sheet of slick.
At a certain age you quit bouncing like you once did and that it hurts..and hurts...
I know all to well.....
@maddmedic - I know, too. I stopped bouncing about 10 years ago. I'm really stiff & sore today. Dang it.
