Quotidian Tuesday

quo·tid·i·an  [ kwō tíddee ən ]
ADJECTIVE
1. commonplace: of the most ordinary everyday kind
2. done daily: done or experienced on a daily basis

The day began with clouds, warm-ish temperatures, and a light sprinkle. It's quiet this morning in the office, and the only issue so far is a tenant who thinks that it's "silly to have a Wednesday off", and therefore wants to stay open on the 4th of July.

While they're welcome to work whatever hour they want, they couldn't explain how they hope to attract customers on a national holiday. Whatever.

Does this seem strange to anyone else, or is it just me?

* * * * *

The newspaper is full of fluff and twaddle this morning, unlike yesterday when it only had fluff. With all the things going on in the world today, and a national socioeconomic melt-down underway, they're concerned about a) whether an alleged militia leader from Fairbanks is paranoid and ordered his followers to shoot Federal agents, [they are, and he did, but that's not my point] and b) whether he's of "the far right" as represented - in the op.ed. writer's not-so-humble opinion - by Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson. They aren't.

Yeah, because they are, or were, in Falwell's case, well-known for urging followers to shoot people. What kind of moron thinks that? Apparently, the kind that writes these pieces for the local fishwrapper.

Have the best day you can, folks. Thanks for stopping by.
