I got a lump in my throat when I read this. I grew up thinking of patriotism as THE American way. It's wonderful that somebody saved these posters, and the statement at the end says it all.

It's called....... Political correctness (or "re-education") happened. Lack of God's name happened. Lack of personal responsibility happened. Lack of personal integrity and honesty happened. Lack of respect and loyalty to our country happened. Lack of being an American happened. Did all of these things die along with common sense? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I for one am still proud to be an American. I don't care that's it's old-fashioned or out of date. It's who I am, and that isn't going to change. |

Wouldn't it be interesting if the government still sold war bonds, and tracked sales state-by-state? Do you think that maybe there'd be more bonds sold in red states than in blue states, to such a degree that the MSM wouldn't report it?

A couple of years ago I asked my grade-school nephew what they taught him about World War Two in school.
He told me that all he knew was that we put a bunch of US citizens of Japanese ancestry in camps and that we'd dropped nuclear weapons on Japan.
I saw the writing on the wall for this generation right there.

ML, it's sad but true. They know nothing of our history, and refuse to learn (for the most part) because it's so radically different from what little they were taught.
It is so bad that my kids, who are interested in history, constantly corrected their teachers on topics such as WWII, not nit-picky stuff, but important things, and always had to go to great lengths to prove the point. Made me sick.

Jenny, the half (or more) that has been deliberately misinformed & under-educated by the NEA/public schools is all-but lost to us now, barring a MASSIVE re-education campaign (the good kind, I mean).
