(The driver, narrating the drive from Whittier, AK, to Anchorage, AK.)
Driver: “The body of water on the left is called Turnagain Arm. It connects to the ocean, and sometimes we get to see Beluga Whales out there, so keep your eyes open! On the right are the Chugach Mountains."
Passenger: “Driver, can you tell us which side the whales will be on?”
My head hurts now...

Yup, people are stupid. I remember taking that drive with my sister who lived in Wasilla at the time. We got to wander around an old abandoned mine site and ended up at a glacier, I can't remember the name though.
"Just look up the hill. They'll be the white things you see jumping from rock to rock."
Yup. Welcome to my world. Shoot me an E-mail, I'll tell you where I work, and relate some stories.
An America these days the whales are more often to be found taking up space in that buss.
Gracie, some miles to the east of Wasilla, it could have been the Centennial Mine & the Matanuska Glacier. In the Wasilla area, there's the Susitna Glacier & several mines, but the names escape me.
joated, bwaahahahaha! Wish I'd thought of that.
TCA, I've published several lists of such questions, so maybe we can swap. :)
Preppy, that's unkind - but true. ;^D
I once took some tourists on a scenic flight up into the mountains in a 210. To avoid ear popping, I passed out gum (to help with your ears) One fellow wadded it up and put it IN his ears.
Rev. Paul,
What is it that is stated, oh yes....."You can't fix stupid".
Brigid, I think you've just proved Sandy's point. :)
Sandy, it's very true.
Ah...er... umm... I got nothing for that one... Sigh
I felt the same way, NFO. Stupidity is one thing, but abysmal ignorance & lack of common sense? Just wow.
Blink blink.
PH ... yeah. Sometimes all you can do it stare in stunned disbelief.
