That Nick Cage Movie Filmed in Anchorage ...

is getting ready to open. Co-stars are John Cusack and Vanessa Hudgens.

"The Frozen Ground" recounts the real-life story of a serial killer here in Anchorage in the 1980s. They filmed here, redecorating local businesses and parts of downtown to look as they did 30 years ago.

Filmed, as they say, on location in Anchorage and hereabouts, the local buzz is they did a good job.

I hope it does well.

I always liked John Cusack as an actor but his politics really make me want to avoid any movie he is in as a matter of policy.

Jenny, I liked it, too. :)

Preppy, he plays an amoral serial-killer who got caught & punished ... so maybe it's worth it for that, eh?

I'm out of the loop, didn't know anything about it. I'll await it's playing on HBO, even if it's just for the nice Alaska backdrop.

PH, I hadn't thought of that, but it's true. Heh.

Max, I don't blame you. We'll rent it when it's available, so it'll be some time before that happens.
