It was 39 degrees when we awoke this morning, having slept so snugly beneath warm blankets with the windows opened wide. It's up to 41 now, on its way to 63 (or so Accu-Hunch opines) with sunshine.
It'll be a great day at the fair.
I'm taking my good camera along; there will be many things to photograph. Everything from the old-time Alaskans in the crowd, to the giant vegetables (138+ lb cabbage, 1,100+ pumpkin, and so on), to the mountains on the edge of the square mile that comprises the fairgrounds.
Even now, the conversation in the other room revolves around what we'll do, see, and eat today. :) Time I get off the computer & back in there.
Pictures & tales later. :)

Have fun. I haven't been to a fair in years...always liked the kettle corn and farm animals.
I shall, sir. I haven't been to a fair in a long while, either; not since I was in the fire department, and had to go, to provide an EMS presence.
It'll be nice to see it without being on duty.
Sounds like a fun time. Can't wait for the report.
Can't wait! Our local fair starts Tuesday. Less than a mile away...
Go have a great time!
Everybody seems to have a lot of "meh...." these days, including myself.
Enjoy, it's 82 right now, at 1800!
It was all right, Preppy. Some photos will come, when I get a bit more time.
threecollie, I hope you enjoy yours, too. :)
drjim, I understand. There's so much to say, and ... and I'm getting tired of repeating myself (not that I'm the only one saying such things.)
NFO, it got up to 65 today (so far), but the next hour is usually the warmest of the day. Yours sounds too warm, unless it's on a Hawaiian beach with the trade winds blowing. :)
I can't wait until it gets that cold in SC. I remember times at my dad's where it would be in the mid 30's and I had the windows cracked and stayed under those covers until 9am. I really hope, as per the farmers almanac that it will be a cold winter in the south, and hope I can have the boys see snow for the first time. Send that our way, we need it.
Senior, by the time March & April roll around, we've usually had all the winter we can stand up here. I'd be happy to share!
