Nuthin' in the News

There's little-to-nothing going on in local news. At least, nothing that would be of much interest to anyone not living here.

Let's see ...
  • Anchorage, its Assembly and the labor unions representing city workers are still arguing over a labor law adopted earlier this year.
  • A new eight-story office building will be going up in mid-town.
  • A Wasilla city official, who resigned after being seen drunk at a city function, has been arrested for DUI.
  • A former probation officer is being sued in civil court by 11 female parolees, who say he offered to overlook parole violations in exchange for sexual favors. He'd already lost his job and served six months for the criminal offense.

Like I said, nothing really appropriate for a blog post.

Our weather remains cool & rainy for the foreseeable future. The snow line continues to creep farther down the mountainsides. Let's just say I could drive uphill for 10 or 15 minutes and find snow on the ground.

Maybe I'll do that, this weekend, just for the heck of it.

The good folks on the sidebar have things of greater interest, so help yourselves to the free ice cream, and have a great day!

Thanks for stopping by, friends.
