A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.

Well a least the snow doesn't get in everything and stay there for ever :)
Nope; only until May. Or April, if we're lucky.
I'm sure that above when it mentions "warm air aloft" it means that in relative terms.....Heh it is Alaska after all.
You're right, Matt; it just means "warmer than it is at the surface" ... it's a relative thing. :)
The Dreaded Wintery Mix.
Indeed. And we don't get freezing rain very often, but this will be twice in two weeks. This winter doesn't like us very much, it seems.
Love your comment section. Humor helps everything.
Stay cozy. Be safe.
Cathy, we get some good folks stopping by - thank you for being one of those. I'm a blessed man.
I'm glad you aren't flying into that weather, but do be careful driving or maybe just ice skate to work. ;)
Fortunately, it's supposed to snow first, so we'll just wind up with crunchy snow. Snowshoes, rather than skates. Or maybe skis. Hmm.
Rev. Paul,
I feel for you, were having almost the same here too.
Stay warm and safe!
Thank you, Sandy. You, too.
