Damage - Officers responded to a vehicle in the
lake. Investigation revealed that Brendon Muese was driving recklessly,
lost control of his vehicle, and drove into the lake off Dutton Road.
Muese was charged with Reckless Driving and Driving without a License.
There are easier ways to get a flooded engine, ya know?
Suspicious Person/Activity - Officer contacted two individual in regards to a
large amount of smoke coming from their yard. The individuals were
working on a sweat house and shortly after were able to get the kinks
out of their design.
Why am I reminded of Cheech & Chong's "Up in Smoke" movie?
Trespass - An inebriated James T. Massey, 31 yoa, who had
earlier been carried from the bar and deposited outside the doors, was
arrested for Criminal Trespass II after he lay down in front of the
doors and refused to leave.
Welfare Check - A disturbed woman who lived in this community
decades ago phoned police to report that she felt ill and was thinking
of harming herself. Local police in Colorado, who are now quite familiar
with the woman, advised they were attempting to take her into custody.
Assault - Caller told police he had locked himself in the
wheelhouse of his vessel because another man on board the boat had
threatened to knife the people on board. Officers responded and found
an extremely intoxicated and distraught man who claimed to have been
thrashed by other members of the boat’s crew when he returned to the
boat in a disreputable state. The crew admitted to forcing the drunk off
the boat after he became unmanageable. The captain of the vessel
elected not to pursue charges.
Traffic Crime - Complaint about an erratic driver who nearly drove
into a ditch and crossed into the opposing lane several times. The
responding officer found the driver, who said he had just returned after
a 20-year absence and was distracted by the changes to the town during
the intervening years.
Yeah, that's a new one.
Harassment - An intoxicated and emotional woman who lived in
this community decades ago called from out of state approximately 20
times to say that her husband had threatened to kill her and had also
ordered some pornographic materials. It was unclear whether the two
complaints were related. Police in the woman’s jurisdiction were asked
to check on the woman; they later reported that she was fine and had
become a regular customer in recent weeks.
What is it with these folks calling someplace they used to live, decades ago?

Bunch 'a REAL winners there... :-)
Break-up (spring thaw) isn't far away; must be cabin fever. Heh.
The stories of people calling places they lived decades ago might be alzheimer's cases. They frequently flash back/regress to a "younger" version of themselves. Whatever the case, it is still quite sad.
That's true, ma'am. And it's sad, indeed.
Cheap and/or free long distance isn't always a blessing.
I can't wait to call the Unalaska police for something. I think I might report that Stephen is stalking Kymber and see how far that get's me.
WSF - that's true, too. Heh.
Preppy - I think you wouldn't get very far, and that you'd have more fun than they would. But you prob'ly know that already. :)
Rev. Paul,
I bet your police officers are never bored up there with all the stories provided by subjects/suspects.
It can be ... challenging, Sandy. Most of 'em are pretty good folks, though, and take it in stride.
I wonder if the erratic driver got a field sobriety test despite his excuse?
Probably, PH. He may have seemed quite sober when the officer spoke with him, but given his driving ...
LOL - wow! People leave Alaska, but can't quite let it go ;)
Teresa, this place has a way of getting into your head (in a good way); the mountains call to us. :)
