Okay, THAT Was Scary

We just had a 6.24-magnitude quake, centered about 90 miles northwest of Anchorage. Lasted for the better part of minute.

Now that I'm out from under my desk, I'll go check on things.

Just checked in and saw it on Drudge - 'Hope all is well up there! Keep us posted.

Chickenmom, we're all fine. There's damage here & there, but I won't know about home until this afternoon.

We survived it just fine,I didn't even spill my coffee.

Mine didn't spill, either. A few pictures & vases fell, here and there. Downtown seems to have gotten the worst of it, but they're sitting on the geological equivalent of Jell-O.

Glad to hear you're fine. Off to check in with friends - and whether or not the dogs got (more) neurotic...

Thanks, Wing - I'm sure the dogs will be shaken, but not harmed.

Rev Paul,

I hope you and yours are safe and your home hasn't received any damage.

maddmedic, it IS a bit unnerving, no?

Sandy, we're okay, and our home was relatively unaffected. Thank you.

Jenny, I was remembering your comment of "Whee! Again, again!" about a 'quake shortly after we met. :)
