Rugged Individualism

Maybe not as much as I thought.

I was visited on Monday by an employee from one of my tenants who complained bitterly that the power wasn't on in her office, or in the break room.

"Did it just happen?" I asked.

"No, it went out Friday. We tried to call you but there was no answer." (Unlikely, at best. The land line forwards to my cell phone when I leave for the day.)

The breaker panel for her room is located 50 feet from her office door. She refused to be shown where it was, telling me "It's not in my job description."

I'll assume she has the wherewithal to turn on her own office lights, although I could be wrong. I fail to see how flipping one switch is different from flipping another switch, a little farther away.

Sigh...

I do wonder who feeds and dresses her, though.

She probably has a Obama or Darwinism sticker, on her car too.

You're probably right - and it wouldn't surprise me a bit.

Her sister was my tenant. Not their job to reset a ground fault receptacle, either

Lovely, aren't they?

Rev. Paul,

Those are the type of people that won't make it when the economy fails and the SHTF.

You're right, Sandy; they'll be the first to collapse into a pile of self-pity.

Leeches, everywhere leeches

So true, threecollie. They insist on learning the hard way.

Funny, I would have found and reset the breaker just because I couldn't stand thumb twiddling at work. Maybe that's just me.

Sorry, PH, but this lady is about 40 yrs old, and clearly didn't want to work. She'd rather just kvetch.
